Agricultural Development

Qingjing Farm is divided into different areas

Sheep and Cow Breeding

Sheep Area

Sheep Area

Originally, the sheep here were mainly Corriedale sheep reared for wool and meat.
Due to severe inbreeding, the Barbados Blackbelly sheep was introduced by the Heng-Chun Branch of the Taiwan Livestock Research Institute, so there are signs of birth of blackbelly sheep.

Cattle Area

Cattle Area

The cattle raised by the Livestock Center are beef cattle. Currently, there are 116 heads of cattle, which are predominantly Black Angus cattle.
As the white face and yellow body Hereford cattle offers value as tourist attraction, there are still a few left. The white face and black body breeds are crossbreeds, which are reared using extensive rotational grazing. After the cattle are fattened, the cattle are switched to pen feeding.

Located at an altitude of 1750m, the QingJing Veterans Farm is surrounded by clouds and mists in the evening all-year-round, thus winning the fame of foggy paradise. The tea planted here is the best high-class tea in Nantou, exhibiting a unique tea sweetness and fragrance, and is well known as Foggy Tea.

The non-toxic tea is cultivated for four years under natural ecological management and then subject to slow processing to exhibit the unique aroma and strong flavor of mountain tea. After the Spring Tea is produced, the tea is sent 308 types of pesticide inspection (ND).
